They even succeeded in creating a little bit of suspense around the announcement, and after it was announced that he made it into the Hall, Jim Rice came on for a brief interview….

Things are a bit slow going in the offseason, but programs of this nature keep me coming back to the new channel. As far as the nominations, both Rickey Henderson and Jim Rice deserve to be in the Hall, so good job by the writers in that regard. Especially when you consider it was Rice’s last chance to get in. I also think Andre Dawson should be in, so hopefully he gets his due next year.
