Last night before the season opening NBA game between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics, NBA Emperor David Stern took to the court… well… because he could. The ego-stroking moment was botched when Stern managed to mangle the current natural disaster afflicting much of the eastern half of the United States. While we should always be aware of what happened seven years ago in New Orleans, the name of this most recent storm is Hurricane Sandy. Sandy. At least Stern doesn't appear woefully out of touch with reality or anything, that'd be something new.
