Maybe Hawk Harrelson just needed some time to collect himself.  Perhaps there was something caught in his throat.  Then again, CSN Chicago could have been experiencing technical difficulties.  Sound in the booth could have been cut off inexplicably.  Microphones may have temporarily disintegrated.  I’m sure there are any number of rational explanations for no sound whatsoever emanating from the White Sox broadcast booth right as Jhonny Peralta’s two-run walk off home run landed in the Comerica seats.  That’s no exaggeration, there was seriously one entire minute of dead air after this home run!  At least Hawk Harrelson was able to come back after a minute’s silence to deliver the GMC Player of the Game like a true pro’s pro…

Awful Announcing

If you were the coach of Ole Miss, how would you have responded to Johnny Long’s celebration?

Vote below
  • I would address it with the umpire to ensure fairness.
  • I would ignore the celebration and focus on motivating my team.
  • I would lodge a formal complaint after the game.
  • I would use it as a motivator to rally my team.
