You’ll have to forgive Kings captain Dustin Brown for not being in lockstep with FCC regulations in this postgame interview.  After all, he had just led the Los Angeles Kings to their first ever Stanley Cup after a 6-1 victory in Game 6 over the New Jersey Devils.  Brown scored what would be the game-winning goal in the first period during a 5 minute power play thanks to Steve Bernier’s boarding penalty.  Brown actually scored the first two goals on the power play and LA added a third that pretty much finished the game and the series in the 1st period.  With the excitement of lifting the Stanley Cup, it’s only natural to forget the circumstances and drop an f bomb live on national television.  Although, I’m guessing the NHL isn’t going to supplant #becauseitsthecup with #whywef*ckingplay in time for next year’s playoffs…

If you were the coach of Ole Miss, how would you have responded to Johnny Long’s celebration?

Vote below
  • I would address it with the umpire to ensure fairness.
  • I would ignore the celebration and focus on motivating my team.
  • I would lodge a formal complaint after the game.
  • I would use it as a motivator to rally my team.
