So now we have a newspaper and a state governor embroiled in a 3rd grade name calling contest over a crappy NFL team. Somehow this combines many of the things that reflect poorly on our current media climate – exhaustive 24/7 news cycles, media outlets becoming the story, quarterback controversies, childish name-calling, political bickering… the only thing seemingly missing is Skip Bayless arguing for the Jets to trade for Tim Tebow.
