In the name of all that is holy, this may be the most bizarre local news headline I’ve ever seen. It’s a real shame that inspirational figure and all-around champion of the human race Maya Angelou has to cancel her upcoming appearance in Houston, what with her death and all.
Either famous celebrities are now canceling previously scheduled appearances from beyond the grave, or something is definitely wrong here. For what it’s worth, the zombie corpse of Lyndon Johnson was also scheduled to be in Houston this weekend, but something came up at the last minute.
