The NFL Draft can make people do funny things… but eating a newspaper is a new one for me.
Houston Chronicle Texans reporter John McClain was so confident the team would take a quarterback in Round 1 that he made a bet. He would eat his own newspaper if the Texans did not select a quarterback of the future in Round 1. (Apparently, Tom Savage in the 4th Round didn’t count.)
But at least McClain is true to his word. He eats the front page of the Chronicle, and maintains his humor in the process. I think I’ll take his word for it that it doesn’t taste that bad…
