The Penguins-Blue Jackets series is turning out to be the star attraction of the Stanley Cup Playoffs thus far. It’s a series that has featured one dramatic turn after another and Game 4 was the best and most exciting chapter yet. After the Penguins took a 3-0 lead in the 1st period, Columbus clawed back to tie the game 3-3 in the final minute.
3 minutes into overtime, Nick Foligno scored the game winner for the CBJ and tied the series at 2-2. It’s not overhyping it to call this the biggest moment in the history of professional hockey in Columbus. (Not counting the days of the Columbus Chill of course.) This is a franchise that has had to sleepwalk through a decade plus of irrelevance and losing and are finally giving their fans something to cheer about.
