It seems as if an anti-Joe Buck petition pops up every week or every other week. And just like the one we told you about last month, Buck has acknowledged it.
This particular petition comes from the Great Northwest where Seattle Seahawks fans have united against Buck (and his partner Troy Aikman as well) from calling their favorite team’s games. And it apparently has gained some steam as it’s close to gathering the 19,000 signatures it’s seeking.
The request from the petition is as follows:
The Seattle Seahawks 12th man are growing increasingly tired of the negative remarks that are consistently made against our team by Fox Sports commentators Troy Aikman & Joe Buck. As nationally televised games, we understand that the commentators need to be sensitive to both the fans of the home and away team. However, Aikman & Buck’s comments heavily favor any and all of the Seahawks opponents. Their comments are incredibly critical and degrading. Not only do we respectfully request, the 12th Man DEMANDS that these two commentators be banned from calling any future Seahawks games.
The fact that the petition “DEMANDS” that Buck and Aikman be banned from any and all future Seahawks games is quite strong. But it appears that Fox will most likely not grant this “DEMAND.”
Buck was amused that it came after the Dallas-Seattle game which interestingly enough, he did not call because he was on World Series duty last Sunday:
This after dal/sea gm. Problem?I didn't do the game.Seahawks+fans+petition+to+ban+FOX's+Buck,+Aikman+from+broadcasts+https://t.co/KEA5JTCDy8

As long as the Seahawks remain as an elite NFC team, it’s likely that Buck and Aikman will continue to be assigned to Seattle games. It’s not what those who signed the petition want to hear, but it doesn’t appear that the Fox duo will be reassigned anytime soon.
