After throwing just one interception all season, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady actually threw a terrible goal-line interception against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football, and nobody watching the game on ESPN saw the play live.
The Patriots had third and goal at the Baltimore two-yard line in the second quarter, when Brady pump-faked like he was going to throw into the end zone. Unlike the Ravens’ defense, the ESPN cameraman bit on the pump fake, and went back to focus on Brady… who had just thrown a pass into the end zone for an interception. We didn’t see the player that intercepted the ball — Eric Weddle — until he was already running back to the 10-yard line. ESPN at least immediately showed a replay of the interception.
