Both shows will originate from the Turner Sports studios in Atlanta and will be streamed through The Starters Twitter account, The Warmup Twitter account, the NBA’s account and Twitter Moments.
The Starters Twitter Show has the cast of the popular NBA. TV show and podcast, J.E. Skeets, Tas Melas, Trey Kerby, Leigh Ellis, Matt Osten, and Jason Doyle. Adding to their nightly shows, the Starters Twitter show will be streamed live every Tuesday at 11 a.m. ET throughout the regular season. Fans familiar with the Starters’ take on the NBA will like this new show.
The Warmup will be live every Thursday at 7:30 p.m. ET and will lead into TNT’s weekly doubleheader. The show will be co-hosted by Ben Lyons and Ro Parrish. They’ll tackle the NBA’s influence on lifestayle, music and pop culture. The show will be interactive as they’ll integrate tweets and converse with those who tweet at the hosts.
So Twitter continues to be proactive in obtaining sports programming whether it’s live NFL games, college sports, or various live studio shows. This likely won’t lead to live NBA games, but with shoulder programming, Twitter is now associated with with several major sports.
