With college football season just over three months from returning, ESPN has started to reveal its schedule for Weeks 0 and 1.
The network sent out a release Tuesday going over the top games for the first two weeks and also announced that College GameDay will emanate from College Station, Texas on August 31 for the Week 1 showdown between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Texas A&M Aggies.

This will mark the seventh time A&M has hosted GameDay and the first since 2018. It will also be the show’s 2024 debut on American soil, as the crew will be heading to Dublin, Ireland for the Week 0 game between the Florida State Seminoles and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
ESPN has a loaded slate on August 31, as the Clemson Tigers and Georgia Bulldogs square off at noon in the Aflac Kickoff Game at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
That game will air on ABC, and then once it concludes the coverage will head to Gainesville as the Florida Gators take on the Miami Hurricanes in the Sunshine State Showdown at 3:30 p.m. That game will also feature the debut of SEC on ABC, which the release states, “will be the reveal of the SEC on ABC brand across all SEC home games, including a new graphics package, theme music, and more.”
ABC’s day of coverage will then conclude with the ABC Saturday Night Football meeting between Texas A&M and Notre Dame.
Sunday, September 1 will see the USC Trojans and LSU Tigers play in the Vegas Kickoff Classic at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium, which will air on ABC at 7:30 p.m. before the weekend concludes with a Labor Day evening showdown between Florida State and Boston College in Tallahassee on ESPN.
ESPN will announce the first three weeks of the schedule in full, on May 30.
