As they are wont to do, Logan Paul and Jake Paul set social media abuzz on Tuesday with posts implying that the two brothers’ boxing careers are finally reaching their most obvious destination: A fight against each other.

Taking to X, both brothers posted a boxing poster-style graphic, seemingly indicating that we’re finally getting a Logan Paul vs. Jake Paul fight. The graphic also teases that the event will take place on March 27 and stream on Max, which would mark the Warner Bros. Discovery streaming service’s first boxing event.

The implication here is obvious and stories touting the impending super fight quickly followed. It’s curious, however, that nothing in either of the posts actually confirms that the two brothers are fighting each other and that neither Warner Bros. Discovery nor Jake Paul’s MVP Promotions have sent out an accompanying press release.

To be clear, it appears that something is happening on Max involving the Paul brothers

At this point, details regarding the fight — if it will even be a fight — are sparse, with Warner Bros. Discovery and/or Jake Paul’s MVP Promotions having yet to send out an accompanying press release. The Max X account, however, reposted both of the brothers’ posts, with MMA Fighting’s Damon Martin noting that the event is listed on Warner Bros. Discover press site’s upcoming schedule.

Awful Announcing reached out to Max and MVP Promotions to confirm whether a Jake Paul vs. Logan Paul fight would be taking place. Max would not confirm a fight and said that additional information would be made available later this week. MVP Promotions has yet to respond.

While details appear to be forthcoming, the lack of an official announcement raises at least some red flags — as does the fact that Logan Paul will presumably be taking part in WWE’s WrestleMania 41 less than a month after the announced date. Could Logan realistically prepare for a boxing match against his brother and participate in the build to WWE’s biggest show of the year simultaneously? It’s also worth noting that Jake typically fights roughly 30 pounds heavier than Logan has, raising questions about whether such a fight is realistic.

From a media perspective, the prospect of a potential Jake Paul vs. Logan Paul fight is massive and is about as attention-grabbing of an event that Max could hope for to kickoff its foray into boxing. While pay-per-view buys and general interest in such events have varied, the commercial success of Netflix’s Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson event last November showed that freak show fights can still draw an audience, especially when highly accessible via a streaming service.

As for the sports aspect of a potential Paul vs. Paul fight, it’s worth noting that Jake is a much more experienced fighter at this point, amassing an 11-1 record since first beginning his boxing career in 2018. Meanwhile, Logan officially lays claim to a 1-1 professional record, with his most recent bout being a victory over Dillon Danis via disqualification in 2023.

At this point, however, questions regarding what a fight between the two brothers might look like are secondary to whether or not the fight is actually taking place. Considering the amount of buzz they have already built, anything other than a fight against each other would likely seem like a letdown — not that trolling their audience has ever been beneath the parties involved.
