Now ESPN will be joining the iOS single-on. In the latest update, the iCloud Keychain will allow users to authenticate through settings which will work on all connected iCloud devices. This works for both the ESPN and WatchESPN app.
Not only that, the ESPN iOS app will support Chromecasting, allowing you to stream video from your iPhone or iPad to a Chromecast-connected television set.
According to 9 to 5 Mac, here are some other features for the ESPN iOS app:
- Video Docking: Swipe down on any video you are playing to use the rest of the app while watching.
- Enhanced Golf Leaderboard: Follow round by round coverage of every tournament with our redesigned leaderboards, featuring enhanced player and course statistics.
- Australia Edition: Looking for AFL news coverage? Switch to the Australia edition in settings to get the best sports coverage from down under.
So this will reduce you having to sign-on every time you use the app. So making the sign-on’s more efficient will make for easier viewing with one less authentication.
