In a rather heated exchange, SportsCenter anchor Jonathan Coachman and ESPN Nación host Jorge Sedano went at it Monday over a segment in which Coach acaused Sedano of “jacking” his material.
If you’re not aware of what’s going on, Coachman and Max Bretos do a segment on SportsCenter called “One Word.” Here’s an example:
Well apparently Nación ESPN which airs on ESPN2 on Mondays did a segment called “Una Palabra” which translate to “One Word.” So Coachman went off on Twitter:
Sedano who hosts the show with Bernardo Osuna and Marly Rivera replied:
If you’re a regular viewer of Pardon the Interruption, you’ll know that Michael Wilbon and Tony Kornheiser have their own segment called “What’s the Word?”
We continue with the exchange:
And Coachman then went after the amount of people on the air at Nación ESPN:
And then Rivera replied afterwards in hopes of trying to keep the peace:

It’s weird that Coachman went on Twitter to call out Sedano. Once the first salvo was fired, Sedano had to defend himself, but to see how things boomeranged and escalated, it went down a rabbit hole. And luckily, it ended as quickly as it started.
