Jordan Reid will continue as a mainstay on ESPN’s NFL Draft coverage in the foreseeable future.

Reid joined ESPN in 2021 as an NFL Draft contributor and rapidly ascended to prominence. Alongside stalwarts like Field Yates, Matt Miller and Mel Kiper Jr., Reid will continue shaping the Worldwide Leader’s NFL Draft medium, as confirmed by the announcement of his contract extension on Monday.

While details of Reid’s new deal with the company weren’t readily available, his role isn’t changing. He’ll continue to be seen on ESPN and ESPN.com, as well as other platforms like This is Football with Kevin Clark, where he compared Miami Hurricanes quarterback and NFL Draft prospect Cam Ward to prime Russell Westbrook.

And it’s comparisons like those why Awful Announcing named Reid one of its rising stars in sports media for 2024.

ESPN has quietly reshuffled its NFL Draft coverage over the past few years and Jordan Reid has been one of the best additions. While he may only get limited airtime, he’s made the most of his opportunities and his online content — including seven-round mock drafts — is some of the best in the industry.

Turn the page to 2025; Reid’s journey from the sidelines to the spotlight is nothing short of remarkable. Once a standout quarterback at North Carolina Central, where he set the school’s record for completion percentage, Reid transitioned from coaching at his alma mater to becoming a trusted authority in draft analysis.

Prior to joining ESPN, Reid was a key figure at The Draft Network — a platform that, for a moment, shook up the NFL Draft space. Working alongside stars Trevor Sikkema and Benjamin Solak, to name a few, Reid helped turn TDN into a hotbed of NFL Draft content and a resource for the community until its eventual demise.

Not only is Reid shaping the way ESPN covers the NFL Draft, but he’s also become one of the defining voices of the current landscape.
