Katie Nolan’s role at ESPN is beginning to come into focus.
One month after ESPN announced it had hired Nolan away from Fox Sports, the network revealed plans for a yet-to-be-named podcast that will debut Jan. 10, as well as a digital show. Nolan will also continue to appear on various ESPN programs.
“Katie is an amazing talent with a strong and unique voice,” senior coordinating producer Glenn Jacobs said in a statement. “We’re working closely with her to create smart, fun content that fans are going to love and that they can engage with wherever they are.”
The latest
Though it’s easy to imagine what a Bomani-centered digital show would look like, given his long history with radio and podcasts, Nolan’s show could go a few directions. Will it be strictly commentary or will there be an interview component? Will she have a partner? Guests? How closely will the result resemble her old Garbage Time program? For the moment, ESPN is entirely mum on details.
But even with her podcast two months away, Nolan seems to be staying busy at ESPN. She debuted on Highly Questionable in mid-October and has since appeared there, on SportsNation (where she notably feuded with The Miz), on SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt and on Jalen & Jacoby. Overall, she seems to be fitting in just fine in the ESPN universe.

We’ll be keeping our ears out for more news on Nolan’s podcast and digital show as the new year approaches.
