Just in case there was any doubt, Dan Orlovsky and The Pat McAfee Show are both aware of Emmanuel Acho’s involvement in the bombshell Fox Sports lawsuit.
Orlovsky was on The Pat McAfee Show Tuesday afternoon where the topic of the AP NFL Awards was broached. The ESPN NFL analyst is an AP voter and selections for first and second-team All-Pros had to be submitted on Monday.
Darius Butler asked if those submissions get sent to “Acho,” seemingly referring to ESPN’s Sam Acho, who was previously vice president of the NFL Players Association. But his brother, Emmanuel Acho is a FS1 host, and while he was not accused of any wrongdoing, he was named in the recent Fox Sports lawsuit.
In the wake of the lawsuit, the mention of “Acho” made the show a little uncomfortable as McAfee paused at the reference, prompting Orlovsky to seamlessly jump in and say, “Hey, let’s not have any uncomfortable conversations, alright?” And as he said it with a big smile on his face, Orlovsky seemed primed to get that joke in there.
“Dan!” a stunned McAfee said. “Wowww! You hang ‘em, I’ll bang ‘em! Whoa, whoa, whoa, I was talking about baseballs.”
Earlier this week, Front Office Sports was first to report former Fox Sports hairstylist Noushin Faraji filed a workplace misconduct lawsuit, alleging sexual harassment and a toxic workplace culture. Skip Bayless, Joy Taylor and FS1 executive Charlie Dixon were named as defendants in the lawsuit.
Acho was not named as a defendant, but the lawsuit does allege he had a consensual sexual relationship with Taylor that helped further her career. Acho was also the host and author of Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man, a series started in 2020 to discuss race-related issues in America. Thus the timely joke by Orlovsky.
