While he can’t yet go into detail, Danny Parkins is optimistic about his future at FS1.
Breakfast Ball, which Parkins co-hosted with Mark Schlereth and Craig Carton, was one of three FS1 shows recently canceled. On Wednesday, reports emerged that Parkins is likely to end up on another FS1 show. As a guest on Spiegel & Holmes on Chicago’s 670 The Score (where Parkins was a former host), Parkins strongly suggested that another show was coming.
While he couldn’t go into specifics, Parkins all but confirmed that something is coming and will be announced soon.
“Obviously, I can’t say as much as I would like to right now, but I promise that when I can, I will say more,” Parkins said. “Which hopefully, maybe will be by next week or the radiothon, I don’t know.”
For reference, the radiothon will run from July 31-Aug. 1.
He commented further, saying that he was “bummed” about Breakfast Ball being canceled. But Danny Parkins re-emphasized that he’s upbeat about what’s next at FS1 and again noted that he’ll go into more details when he can.
“I loved working with the whole crew,” Parkins said. “We had an amazing team and a lot of people were impacted here. And especially getting to work with Craig and Stink was incredible. But I’m still here. And I just got off the air with First Things First for the last two days and I’m still going to be here. And I’m really, really excited for what’s next. It’s an incredible opportunity. I unfortunately can’t say anything more than that right now. But I promise when I can, I will.”
