The Dolphins-Titans game started at 1 PM ET… and just ended in Miami, over seven hours later. That’s thanks to multiple weather delays.
It easily became the longest game in NFL history.
And when the game finally returned from the second lengthy weather delay, Fox wasn’t quite ready to return in full form. Due to safety concerns with lightning in the area, Fox was stuck with limited camera angles when the game started back it up. The main live camera looked like a high school football camera covering the entire game from the press box.
Here’s how Twitter reacted:
Looks like Fox is using only one camera for Titans – Dolphins due to safety concerns.

Miami/Titans crew took down most of their cameras except for the one on the 50 yard line. NFL Redzone saying they don’t even know if they have instantly replay lmao

After several minutes of this, the regular camera use returned:
Fox has it’s cameras back – so we leave 1950s TV coverage behind and return to 2018

And what those cameras captured was a wacky fourth quarter. After only 13 points were scored in the first three quarters, 34 points were scored in the fourth (17-17). The Dolphins ultimately emerged victorious in a 27-20 game.
