Last week, the Connecticut women’s basketball team set a record with its 100th consecutive win. And it’s good timing for HBO’s new documentary series, “UConn: The March to Madness.” The March to Madness series is in its second season as it followed the Gonzaga men last year.

Now with UConn going for its fifth consecutive NCAA basketball championship, HBO and its partner, IMG are focusing on the Huskies’ quest for another title.

The series will premiere with a one-hour episode on Wednesday, March 1 with subsequent editions running at a half-hour.

HBO/IMG’s cameras will go where TV normally can’t and they’ll lift the curtain on what makes the program tick including plenty of face time for coach Gene Auriemma.

And HBO has released a trailer for the series:

The UConn women have won 11 NCAA Championships in Auriemma’s 32 seasons at the school and it goes without saying he’s the most successful coach in the history of women’s college basketball. UConn: The March to Madness premieres on HBO on Wednesday, March 1 at 10 p.m. ET/PT with weekly episodes running throughout the month.
