The Philadelphia Eagles are parading down Broad Street to celebrate their Super Bowl LIX victory and believe it or not, an f-bomb made its way onto live television.
Friday morning was parade day for the 2025 Super Bowl champs. With good vibes and a lot of alcohol flowing through the city of Philadelphia, local news outlets were undoubtedly bracing for the possibility of some language that goes against FCC rules. And Eagles center Landon Dickerson was happy to provide that when he saw a microphone from Fox 29 Philadelphia.
“All I gotta say is GO F***ING BIRDS!” Dickerson said upon being presented the mic from reporter Jen Lee.
The f-bomb quickly garnered apologies from back in the studio, with one anchor noting, “Landon has had himself a few.”
Who could have seen that coming? You can’t stick a microphone in front of a beer-wielding offensive lineman who is marching through a raucous crowd of Eagles fans while celebrating their Super Bowl win and expect anything less than what Dickerson delivered.
You can try to blame it on the nature of live television, the alcohol, the crowd or the good vibes after winning a Super Bowl. But this was Dickerson just delivering on what it means to be a center for the Philadelphia Eagles. His mentor, future Hall-of-Famer Jason Kelce, who delivered a profanity-laced speech at their 2018 Super Bowl parade, would expect nothing less.
