As the 2025 NFL season approaches, Meadowlark Media will have a new offering.
Taking to X earlier this week, Dave Dameshek announced that he’ll be hosting a new NFL show for the Dan Le Batard-founded network.
“Do you like football? Me, too,” Dameshek wrote. “Sounds like we have a lot in common, so I’m plum over the pigskin-shaped moon to let you know I’ll be doing an NFL show on the @LeBatardShow network starting in August.”
The Pittsburgh native promised more details in the coming days.
For Dameshek, the Meadowlark Media connection is a natural one as he had already been creating social media content and digital videos for the outlet over the course of the past year. Such videos typically focused on his trademark “what if?” scenarios (N “if” L), which he had previously provided for NFL Media.
Currently, Dameshek hosts a weekly podcast, Shek Show. In addition to his previous work in comedy in radio, he has also hosted shows for outlets including ESPN, NFL.com and Omaha Productions.
While details regarding Dameshek’s new show have yet to be announced, it already sounds like a natural replacement for Jon “Stugotz” Weiner’s God Bless Football, which is no longer under the Meadowlark Media banner. While Le Batard’s longtime co-host is still making semiregular appearances on The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz, he has now taken his NFL-focused podcast independent as Meadowlark recently reupped its distribution deal with DraftKings.
Suffice it to say, it’s been a time of transition for the company that was first founded by Le Batard and former ESPN president Jon Skipper following the former’s departure from the Worldwide Leader in 2021. But while it’s been departures — like Skipper’s — that have received the bulk of the attention, the news of Dameshek’s upcoming program makes for a welcome addition.
