Alanna Rizzo’s time at MLB Network appears to be ending after she announced Wednesday that she was “exploring new opportunities” following the end of High Heat.
“For the last four years, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to @MLBNetwork‘s High Heat, delivering engaging interviews with players, writers, and broadcasters, while providing insightful commentary on all things MLB. Unfortunately, High Heat is not being renewed.”

Rizzo’s co-host, Chris “Mad Dog” Russo, said Friday’s episode would be his last.
“In more than 2,200 episodes over the last 11 seasons, High Heat created a signature edgy and entertaining look at the game,” a statement from MLB Network read. “It’s been a great ride, and we thank Chris and Alanna for everything they’ve given to the show. As Chris likes to say, ‘That’s a good job by you.’”

Andrew Marchand of The Athletic reported Russo will still contribute regularly on MLB Network, but Rizzo does not currently have a role with the network.
Rizzo covered the Los Angeles Dodgers from 2014 to 2020 with Sportsnet LA prior to her four years with High Heat.
“Now, I’m open to exploring new opportunities that allow me to bring my skills, dedication, and creativity to new ventures — whether on-air, behind the scenes, or through impactful collaborations,” Rizzo said.
Rizzo responded to a mention on Twitter/X saying she would still be contributing to Dodgers Territory, a Dodgers podcast on Foul Territory TV Network.
