Some of the words frequently used in MLB dugouts would not normally fly on MLB broadcasts. Occasionally, though, those worlds collide. That’s exactly what happened during TBS’ broadcast of Tuesday night’s game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers.
During the bottom of the third inning, Brewers manager Pat Murphy did a live interview with TBS announcers Brian Anderson and Jeff Francoeur. The Dodgers led 1-0 at the time but it briefly looked as though Milwaukee third baseman Andruw Monasterio would change that, as he drove the second pitch he saw from Clayton Kershaw deep to left field.
“Get out of here,” Murphy said. “Get up. Get out of here.”
Unfortunately for the Brewers and their fans, Monasterio’s deep drive didn’t quite have enough to get over the fence. And after Michael Conforto tracked the ball down on the warning track, Murphy shared a sentiment that a lot of the Brewers and their fans likely felt.
“Shit,” he said.
“Get out of here. Get up. Get out of here. Shit.”

Murphy then noted that it looked like Monasterio had just missed the sweet spot, hitting it off the end of the bat.
It’s hard to imagine a more genuine reaction during an in-game interview than this one.
And while Monasterio’s ball didn’t quite have home run distance, the Brewers still came away with a 3-1 win.
