UPDATE: We originally wrote that Netflix had ordered Uninterrupted’s Top Class Tennis, but Amazon is the distributor. We regret the error.
ORIGINAL: “Uninterrupted’s Top Class Tennis will follow four junior tennis players as they make their way to the Orange Bowl, a competition that could make or break their careers as tennis pros,” writes The Hollywood Reporter’s Lesley Goldberg. “The four-episode series counts 2017 U.S. Open champion Sloane Stephens among its exec producers.”
Uninterrupted and LeBron James and Maverick Carter’s SpringHill Co. are also among the producers on the project, which will focus on up-and-coming tennis players Ariana Anazagasty-Pursoo, Joseph Oyebog Jr., Stephanie Yakoff, and Stiles Brockett.
“Uninterrupted is thrilled for the opportunity to expand our Top Class franchise after documenting the Sierra Canyon men’s basketball team for four seasons,” said Philip Byron, head of unscripted and documentaries at SpringHill. “Our partnership with the Prime Video team is always a joy, and we can’t wait for audiences to get a courtside look into the cutthroat world of junior tennis. Getting to work with Sloane Stephens on the creative side is akin to having the best doubles partner in the world, and we know everyone is going to be rooting for Ariana Anazagasty-Pursoo, Joseph Oyebog Jr., Stephanie Yakoff, and Stiles Brockett to take the global tennis scene by storm.”
The Top Class series began with The Life and Times of the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers, which debuted in 2021 on Amazon and will have its fourth season this year.
