Fanatics had a star-studded event in New York City featuring athletes and celebrities from around the sports and entertainment world. And amidst all the fun were the Fanatics Games, where NFL GOAT Tom Brady was the one that stood tall.
Brady started his weekend by having some fun in New York with his former rival Eli Manning, where the two got involved in some WWE inspired conflict.
The Fanatics Games were a unique competition where a select group of fans competed against athletes in a number of different disciplines to determine the best athlete. And it produced some viral content over the weekend, such as Joe Burrow being hilariously bad at throwing a baseball or Bryce Young being outdone by multiple fans in a QB skills competition.
But standing tall at the end of it all was Tom Brady. He finished with 399.1 points across the eight competitions and won the $1 million prize. UFC fighter Justin Gaethje finished in second place and fan Matt Dennish finished in third. Rounding out the top five were Los Angeles Clippers star James Harden and Eli Manning. Five other fans finished in the top ten.
The Fantatics Games victory may not make up for those two Super Bowl victories that Eli scored over Brady, but at least it will give him temporary bragging rights as we look ahead to the fall football season.
In commemorating the victory, Tom Brady said he would give each fan that competed $5,000 and donate the rest to charity. That’s a great gesture from the Patriots legend, who certainly isn’t hurting financially in his post playing days thanks to his $375 miliion contract with Fox Sports. Who knows, maybe the Fanatics victory will give him an extra confidence boost heading into his sophomore season in the broadcast booth.
