Tom Brady was in rare form during Sunday’s Detroit Lions-Green Bay Packers broadcast.

When he wasn’t disagreeing with calls (which apparently didn’t violate his terms as a minority owner), the former New England Patriots quarterback turned NFL on Fox analyst was admiring the Green Bay Packers. No, he wasn’t talking about the prowess of Jordan Love, Josh Jacobs nearly eclipsing 100 yards or Jayden Reed establishing himself as a No. 1 wide receiver.

No, nothing like that.

Instead, Brady was waxing poetic about Packers head coach Matt LaFleur. Not for his coaching abilities, keeping the Packers afloat after Love suffered a knee injury or his 62-30 record since replacing Mike McCarthy in 2019. But, rather, about his $100 smile.

Brady sung LaFleur’s praises during Fox’s Game of the Week in Week 9, saying, “Look at that guy. Look at that perfect little mustache and goatee that he’s got. I mean, [inaudible] hair today. I was so impressed when I saw him in the tunnel, such a handsome guy. He said he spends $100 a week keeping himself looking like that.”

“Wow,” replied Brady’s partner, Kevin Burkhardt.

Brady probably said he didn’t see LaFleur’s hair Sunday, considering it was steadily pouring down rain at Lambeau Field Sunday. Still, that didn’t stop Fox’s top analyst from spending a minute before a critical third-and-3 in the second quarter talking about the intricacies of LaFleur’s facial hair.

And, no, Dan Campbell’s goatee didn’t get the same air time from Brady and Co.

If there are two things Tom Brady knows, it’s about football and being handsome.

And he’s getting paid big bucks by Fox to weigh in on what he knows, including how LaFleur prepares to be “handsome” every Sunday.
