Two weeks after a pair of Vegas Golden Knights were in one This is SportsCenter ad, the same pair are in a second ad.
ESPN released the latest ad, called Penalty Cubicle, on Tuesday. Jack Eichel and Jonathan Marchessault once again star in the ad alongside ESPN’s Steve Levy.
Oh, Steve. Replying to all, especially to an email sent to your entire company, is definitely worth a spell in the penalty…cubicle, I guess.
Using the two Knights in a second ad was by design, per ESPN’s Seth Ader.
“With the NHL season in full swing we are excited to premiere a second spot with the reigning champions Vegas Golden Knights into our iconic This is SportsCenter campaign. This one truly captures the charm we’ve created over the years,” said Seth Ader, Vice President of Brand Marketing. “High sticking and slashing are judgment calls, but replying all to a company-wide email will get you sent straight to the penalty cubicle.”
The campaign will continue with more This is SportsCenter ads in the future. Jayson Tatum, Jon Rahm, and Brandon Moreno are among the athletes that will be featured.
The Knights take on the Flyers this Tuesday on ESPN and ESPN+ in the final game of ESPN’s Frozen Frenzy whiparound evening.
