Kelly Stafford, wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, has co-hosted The Morning After podcast with Detroit TV reporter Hank Winchester since 2023.
However, the longtime Detroit reporter has been absent from regular weekly episodes since early June.
“I know that TMA has looked a little differently over the last few weeks,” Stafford said on the Friday, July 18 episode. “Summer is a lot for all of us. I’ve been traveling a bunch. Hank is dealing with some personal stuff. Bear with us there.”
That personal stuff that Hank has been dealing with is an ongoing investigation into an accusation of sexual advances during a massage. A search warrant was executed at Winchester’s residence on June 13, and electronics were seized, according to Fox 2 Detroit. Winchester, known for his consumer investigative reporting with Local 4’s “Help Me Hank,” had reportedly been studying massage therapy.
WDIV placed Winchester on administrative leave while the investigation is ongoing.
The reporter has made a few appearances on the podcast since the allegations hit, but has not appeared in his usual co-hosting role since the investigation began. Matthew Stafford has filled in for Winchester as Kelly’s co-host.
“Hank has spent decades bringing truth to our community and fighting for our citizens,” a statement from Winchester’s attorney, Todd Flood, read. “Because he holds a high-profile position in our community, that can at times generate false accusations. This investigation will end where it began — nowhere.”
