If you clicked on this article, you officially lost the right to ever complain about Awful Announcing giving Skip Bayless too much coverage again. For the rest of you? Feel free to keep complaining.
On the latest episode of Skip vs. Ernestine, the podcast featuring Bayless and his wife, the 72-year-old former FS1 and ESPN host weighed in on the topics everyone has been waiting for, including Sabrina Carpenter’s new album cover and his celebrity hall pass.
Skip would let his wife sleep with 85-year-old Al Pacino. As for his own hall pass, and no, it’s not a former colleague, so you can save the jokes. If Bayless could sleep with any celebrity, it would be Marie Osmond. Be careful, Ernestine! Because, according to Bayless, Osmond has the hots for him.
“We went to see Donnie and Marie in Vegas, and I’m looking at Marie, and I’m like, gosh, she is hot!” Bayless said. “One thing led to another, and I think she kinda likes me, kinda has a crush on me.”
Ernestine noted that Osmond’s husband, Steve Craig, is a big sports fan, which may have been how Marie was introduced to Bayless. Craig played basketball for BYU and was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers in the fifth round of the 1981 NBA Draft. Bayless said Osmond even sent him a personal video once.
“Marie, I’m available!” Bayless said before asking Ernestine if he really has a pass. “Would you give me a pass? You wouldn’t give me a pass. If it really came to be, you would say no.”
But Ernestine insisted she would eagerly give Bayless a hall pass, suggesting he could even go away with Osmond for a month if she agreed.
“Marie, how about a month in Barbados!” Bayless proposed. “And then it will be over. It will be over. That’s all you have to do is one month.”
Ernestine didn’t do much to sell a month-long vacation with Skip Bayless, claiming Osmond would “kill herself” after being forced to watch sports in their hotel. But if Marie Osmond turns Skip down, the former FS1 and ESPN host has one more hall pass he’d like to try, Gwen Stefani.
