Former Sacramento Kings announcer Grant Napear lost a wrongful termination lawsuit over his "All Lives Matter" tweet in 2020.
"In the court's view, the allegations in the [complaint] regarding this claim are confusing, convoluted and generally out of step with plaintiff's contention that he was terminated for expressing a political opinion."
"I'm disappointed that I was the one who said a derogatory term that hurt a lot of people. And I made the apology for it a thousand times."
Napear's complaint alleges wrongful termination, discrimination and retaliation.
"If I make a mistake, I try to say that I’m sorry. But I’m not sorry for saying ‘all lives matter, every single one."
Napear tweeted "ALL LIVES MATTER...EVERY SINGLE ONE!!!" to former Kings' player DeMarcus Cousins, who asked him for comment on Black Lives Matter.
