Jim Nantz and Phil Simms have not been blessed with great, or even average games for CBS’s shiny new Thursday Night Football package.  It’s been some of the worst, non-competitive football games ever seen on national television.  Last night’s Packers-Vikings game was no different.

So with the game well in hand, the two started talking about injured Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater and why he slipped in the draft after his poor pro day.  Nantz rightfully asked about the scouting process and why the pro day mattered more than his work during his Louisville career.  Nantz actually challenged Simms and things got unusually feisty between the pair…

I’m not sure why Simms got so testy there about “armchair draft pickers,” but when the most interesting moment from the game comes from the broadcasters debating each other, you know the game was a real disaster.
