Friend of AA, WWE fan, and Boston Celtics radio voice Sean Grande just finished one of the most impressive recent feats we’ve seen in the announcing industry. Grande called 9 different games in 9 days in 7 cities. The scorecard includes 5 Celtics games, 3 Ivy League basketball games (including a doubleheader), and even a college hockey game. It’s a stretch that began in Cleveland on March 3rd and ended in Boston on March 11th.
1) Celtics at Cleveland – March 3
2) Utah at Celtics – March 4
3) #7 Denver at St Cloud (hockey) – March 6
4 Brown at Harvard – March 7
5) Celtics at Orlando – March 8
6) Celtics at Miami – March 9
7) Princeton at Penn (women) – March 10
8) Princeton at Penn (men) – March 10
9) Memphis at Celtics – March 11
As a part of all those travels, in which Grande says he saw a total of 225 players compete, you see some weird things in some weird places at some weird times. Hot dogs at 5 AM?!?

After taking a breath from his cross-country travails, Grande put it all in perspective. “A friend of mine once got thrown off a 20 foot cage for the sake of history. I can miss a few nights of sleep.”
