With the NFL trade deadline looming Nov. 5, Alvin Kamara has heard the speculation he might be on the move.
But the New Orleans Saints star vented on X Saturday after a fake trade report said he had officially requested a trade.
The account @FFFormulaNick tweeted a photo of Kamara, with a banner stating, “BREAKING NEWS FROM ADAM SCHEFTER,” along with a message: “Alvin Kamara has formally requested a trade and the Saints are headed for a rebuild with an extremely aged roster,” the fake report began.
The account deleted the post, but Benjamin Allbright, a Denver Broncos host and reporter with KOA Radio in Denver, reposted a screen shot. The Broncos, led by former Saints head coach Sean Payton, reportedly have interest in Kamara.
Kamara wasted no time refuting that fake report with a one-word response: “Incorrect.”
The Pro Bowl running back was just getting started with his X posts. “I ain request a trade.. so that’s a lie. I’m in an orange robe on the way to Knoxville,” he posted, referencing his alma mater Tennessee’s game against Alabama.
Kamara later posted, “If it’s any news I’ll report that shit from my couch asum.. or I’ll call my brutha @Cantguardmike and have him break the news other than that we vibed out.”
Kamara did give his seal of approval to one X post. Saints insider Nick Underhill posted, “If anything, AK would like to find a way to finish his career here.”
Kamara’s response: “Correct.”
