After weeks of speculation, it’s official. WWE is bringing WrestleMania back to Las Vegas in 2026.
During Saturday’s airing of the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event, WWE announced in a video package that WrestleMania 42 would return to Vegas, which was also the host city of WrestleMania 41 in April 2025. It will air from Allegiant Stadium on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19.
This is a change from what was previously officially announced.
During an episode of WWE SmackDown in February, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson announced that WrestleMania 42 would be in New Orleans, the host city of that night’s SmackDown, running on Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12.
Recent reports, though, indicated that those plans had changed. In May, it was reported that WWE was moving WrestleMania 42 to Vegas and running it a week later than originally announced.
Saturday’s announcement confirmed those reports.
This will be Vegas’ third time hosting WrestleMania. In addition to WrestleMania 41 in 2025, WrestleMania IX in 1993 was held at Caesars Palace. Additionally, this will mark only the second time in WrestleMania history that the same venue will host the event in consecutive years. Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall (billed as Trump Plaza) hosted WrestleManias IV and V in 1988 and 1989, respectively.
