This is ESPN reporter Britt McHenry reportedly going crazy on a parking lot attendant. Unfortunately, there’s little context to the video as it was uploaded on the Live Leak website. We do know that McHenry had her car towed after dinner in Arlington, Virginia, but we don’t know if the video is related to that incident. It’s very unflattering for McHenry to say the least as she pretty much checks all the boxes for how someone on national television should not act around everyday people.
Update, July 2021: This video has been taken down.
Among the lowlights that are a terrible look for McHenry…
“I’m in the news sweetheart, I will f—ing sue this place.”
“That’s why I have a degree and you don’t.”
“So I could be a college dropout and do the same thing? Why cause I have a brain and you don’t?”
“Maybe if I was missing some teeth they would hire me, huh?”
“I’m on television and you’re in a f—ing trailer, honey. Lose some weight.”
Hopefully there’s more to this story and she and the parking lot attendant are best friends like Jimmy McGill and Mike Ehrmantraut. We can only hope for some kind of happy ending, because it’s unlikely there will be one for McHenry at ESPN.
UPDATE: ESPN has acknowledged that McHenry did have an incident with a towing company and is reviewing the matter.
UPDATE II: McHenry released this statement on Twitter apologizing for her actions:
“In an intense and stressful moment, I allowed my emotions to get the best of me and said some insulting and regrettable things. As frustrated as I was, I should always choose to be respectful and take the high road. I am so sorry for my actions and will learn from this mistake.”
