Table collapses are part of every announcer’s nightmare. They can happen at the most inopportune times. Ask the Spanish language WWE announcers as they had to experience that whenever wrestlers decided to use their table for body slams.
But asides from that, a table break is rare, but it happened today to the announcers calling the final moments of the Tour de France’ Stage 4 on BBC 5 Live Radio. Announcer Robert Hatch referenced it both live and on social media:

Kudos to the guys for continuing to broadcast without missing a beat. It’s not easy to continue when your table with your monitors, notes and cookies (?) go sliding, but luckily, the BBC crew didn’t lose anything and were able to continue.
