It will likely mark the very last time they’ll work together. And while ESPN has brought in various NFL old-timers like Mike Ditka, Tony Dorsett, Joe Namath, Joe Theismann and others, no one has the personal history that Jackson has with Berman.
And while the two last worked together at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Cerremony this past August, Berman expects that he’ll be able to pick up right where they left off:
“It will be like driving a car that you have driven all of your life. … For 29 years, we’ve completed each other sentences, we’ve laughed at each other’s jokes even if they weren’t that funny …”
