Late last year, one of the biggest upsets in sports was Tyson Fury’s unanimous decision defeating undisputed boxing heavyweight champion Wladmir Klitschko. While many observers were shocked by Fury’s win, one of the people who didn’t think it was a total upset was Fury himself. The man who was born premature and not given much chance to live by his doctors grew to be 6’9″ and a very confident man.
Fury of the United Kingdom is known for making controversial statements including the suggestion that performance-enhancing drugs be made legal by the world’s governing bodies for sport:
“Why don’t they just make drugs totally legal in sports, then everybody would be taking drugs then it would be fully fair then wouldn’t it?”
He also has made homophobic comments which have caused a stir in his native country. Some called for the BBC to remove him from its 2015 Sports Personality of the Year program.
And there was the bizarre scene after Fury defeated Klitschko where the new heavyweight champ sang to his wife in the post-match interview:

So with all this in mind, HBO’s Real Sports will profile the new champion in an interview this Tuesday with correspondent David Scott. We have a preview below:
Certainly one of the more brash and cocky athletes you’ll see this year or any year. The Real Sports interview will air on HBO this Tuesday, January 26 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
