The Fab Five are back in the Final Four.
With their baggy shorts and black socks, Chris Webber, Jalen Rose, Juwan Howard, Jimmy King, and Ray Jackson elevated the Michigan Wolverines into the upper echelons of college basketball in the early 90s, making it to the 1992 and 1993 Final Fours and reaching the national title game both years.
The fearsome fivesome will reunite on Saturday for an alternative broadcast of Michigan’s Final Four game against Arizona. The alt-cast will air on truTV and HBO Max, per Warner Brothers Discovery.
The network says the broadcast will include “real-time reactions, unique perspectives on the game, and untold stories and candid reflections from their historic run at Michigan.” It will kick off immediately following the Illinois-UConn game, which tips on Saturday at 6 p.m. ET.
Arguably the best recruiting classes in college basketball history, the Fab Five spent two seasons together before Webber left for the NBA. Rose and Howard followed the following year, while Jackson and King played all four years for Michigan. All except Jackson played in the NBA. Howard returned to coach Michigan between 2019 and 2024.
While most of their accomplishments were technically vacated thanks to a scandal involving laundered money from a booster, their impact on college basketball and the sport in general was substantial. ESPN released a documentary about the fivesome in 2011.
“Their impact continues to resonate across generations of players and fans, making their reunion a can’t-miss moment on college basketball’s biggest stage,” read WBD’s announcement.
