Just over one month until the Colorado Buffaloes kick off their season against the Georgia Tech Yellowjackets, the Buffs’ superstar head coach will hold a press conference.
But this doesn’t seem to be your typical media availability. Colorado head coach Deion Sanders will hold a press conference alongside his medical team, according to a report by The Athletic’s Chris Vannini.

Sanders has been battling health issues this year, having missed an extended portion of Colorado’s spring practices. When confronted by The Athletic with a question about his health during Big 12 Media Days earlier this month, Sanders replied, “Athletic, sometimes y’all be on that bulljunk. So, I’m really not going to tell you much. You know that. But I’m not here to talk to you about my health; I’m here to talk about my team.”
It appears that will change on Monday, with this press conference seemingly being held explicitly to discuss Sanders’ unspecified health issues. Though, it should be noted, the media advisory says the press conference is being held “to provide team and general updates.” The only indication that Sanders’ health will be a topic of discussion is the inclusion of his medical team under the “Who” section of the advisory.
Hopefully, fans will get some clarity about Sanders’ health situation on Monday.
