TNT Sports is preparing to kick off its first year as a Big 12 football partner, and the network has now revealed who will be calling the games.
According to a press release issued by the network on Wednesday, J.B. Long will serve as TNT Sports’ lead Big 12 football play-by-play announcer. Mike Golic Jr.’ll join him as the lead game analyst. Per the release, both Allie LaForce and Coy Wire will contribute as sideline reporters for the network throughout the season.
TNT Sports will also have some familiar faces contributing to the network’s studio coverage of Big 12 football this season. Adam Lefkoe is slated to lead studio coverage alongside analysts Champ Bailey, Takeo Spikes, and Victor Cruz.
It was also announced on Wednesday that Lefkoe has received a multi-year extension to remain as a host with TNT Sports. His hosting duties, which already included MLB, the French Open, and the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, will expand to include Big East and Big 12 men’s basketball beginning this fall. Notably, Lefkoe hosted TNT Sports’ pregame coverage for the College Football Playoff last year, the first in which the network sublicensed two first-round games from ESPN.
The TNT Sports Big 12 college football crew will kick off the season with the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors visiting the Arizona Wildcats on Saturday, August 30 at 10:30 p.m. ET. The following week will see the Texas Tech Red Raiders host the Kent State Golden Flashes, before TNT returns to Arizona the following week for a game between the Arizona State Sun Devils and Texas State Bobcats.
