While the Pac-12 was getting picked apart via realignment over the past few months, the Oregon State Beavers and Washington State Cougars were left to pick up the pieces.
While the two will look for a permanent home as 2024 rolls on, a scheduling agreement was reached with the Mountain West Conference in December stating each Mountain West school will play one game against one of the two teams. Those games will not count in the Mountain West standings and neither Oregon State nor Washington State will be eligible for the Mountain West Championship.
Since they aren’t technically Mountain West members, that conference’s TV deal doesn’t apply to either school.
On Tuesday, though, the long-rumored Pac-12 TV deal with The CW and Fox Sports was finalized, and those networks will carry all Oregon State and Washington State home games in 2024.
As the release notes, 11 of the 13 games will be on The CW, which also airs ACC football games, and the remaining two will be on Fox or FS1. The Pac-12 will produce all of the broadcasts on The CW.
Financial terms of the deal weren’t reported, and it’s still unclear what both schools will look to do in the long term, but for now, they’re just trying to survive one year at a time.
