The Giants took on the Dodgers today in a Cactus League game. On its own, that’s not really worth a story, unless you’re really excited about Yasmani Grandal hitting a solo homer in spring training.
But it was notable for one mostly non-baseball reason: Chris Berman served as honorary manager for the Giants.

Perhaps the most touching aspect of Berman’s one-day managerial career: the reason he wore #83.
As far as harmless spring training stories go, this one is actually pretty cool.
