FS1’s Emmanuel Acho got carried away with a hot take, and he caught some grief from Philadelphia Eagles star Nolan Smith.
On Friday’s edition of The Facility, Acho and his colleagues pondered the question, “Are the Dallas Cowboys closer to a Super Bowl, or a rebuild?”
“The Cowboys are one Eagles off-season away from a Super Bowl,” Acho said. “They are one Eagles off-season away.”
That’s quite a take.
“That sounds easy,” co-host LeSean McCoy said sarcastically.
“No, it’s not easy,” Acho said.
“They are a running back away,” Acho continued. “Eagles offseason, Saquon Barkley. They are a linebacker away. Eagles offseason, Zack Baun. They are one offensive lineman away, Eagles offseason, Mekhi Becton.
“The Cowboys are one Eagles offseason away from a Super Bowl. That’s it.”

Even diehard Cowboys fans probably aren’t that high on a team that finished 7-10 in 2024 and parted ways with head coach Mike McCarthy.
Smith, one week removed from winning Super Bowl LIX with the Eagles, fired back at Acho Sunday.
“Bruh you got to be Top 2 [haters] and not two,” Smith wrote on X. “It doesn’t cost nothing to show love and say ‘THEM BOYS DID THEIR THING!!!!!'”
It was not a strong take by Acho. The Eagles signed Barkley, who had one of the greatest seasons by a running back in NFL history. There is no equivalent for the Cowboys to acquire this offseason.
