The PGA Tour is in Los Angeles at Riviera this weekend for the Genesis Open, one of the best events of the season.
And while the action on the course has been excellent, there was a moment off the course that was pretty fun in its own right. As Amanda Balionis was preparing to interview Justin Thomas following Thomas’s third-round 67, a few birds did their best to prevent the interview from taking place.
CBS’s Kyle Porter was first with the pun that had to be made:
The interview got back on track from there, thankfully; and that was no given as Amanda is apparently afraid of birds:
It’s perhaps not quite as good as when Thom Brennaman straight-up interviewed a bird last year, but still a solid moment.
About Jay Rigdon
Jay is a columnist at Awful Announcing. He is not a strong swimmer. He is probably talking to a dog in a silly voice at this very moment.
