Megyn Kelly already completed a sharp right turn toward Donald Trump. But could she make an even more impressive pivot to Major League Baseball pitcher?
Christopher “Mad Dog” Russo appears to think so. As Russo previewed Friday’s slate of MLB games and their impact on the Wild Card chase, he ran through a few of the expected starting pitchers.
“Obviously the Braves tonight were gonna pitch Fried, that’s against Kansas City and then you know what’s going on a little late tonight with Arizona,” Russo said.
You do know what’s going on with Arizona, right? Well if you don’t, you’re in for a doozy. “Arizona, who’s gonna pitch Megyn Kelly tonight,” Russo claimed.
Imagine that? For everything she has said about women competing in men’s sports, Megyn Kelly is going to be on the mound for the Diamondbacks at Chase Field. She did throw the first pitch out at a Durham Bulls game once, but starting for a MLB team in a playoff race seems like a different level. Actually, it’s Merrill Kelly who will be starting for the Diamondbacks tonight. But leave it up to Dog to confuse the 35-year-old pitcher with a political commentator.
Merrill Kelly now joins a long list of names that Russo has botched, including Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus, New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave, Philadelphia Flyers head coach John Tortorella, former POTUS Barack Obama and maybe the most egregious, his Mad Dog Radio co-worker Damon Amendolara.
