The World Series begins on Friday, which means all the final touches are being put together for the biggest games of the MLB season.
That means inspecting the field to ensure there aren’t any injuries that could occur, especially since Aaron Judge was once on the other end of an injury at Dodger Stadium.
WFAN’s own Suzyn Waldman was a guest on the radio when she brought up an incident when Judge landed on the injured list after making a catch when he broke through the right field wall.
“That better be padded, because if Juan Soto runs into that, I’ll kill them myself,” Waldman said.
She was also seen at the stadium on Thursday inspecting it.
“No one has to die,” she said, according to her broadcast partner, Justin Shackil.
In June 2023, Judge’s catch had him busting through the right field wall which prevented a runner from advancing.
The collision caused a toe injury which would later be a contusion and ligament sprain. The six-time All-Star was on the IL for almost two months.
It was actually rather impressive how he broke through the panels, but we know he’s a big guy.
But if Waldman says it’s safe, then it’s safe.
The World Series begins Friday in Los Angeles as the Dodgers host the New York Yankees.
