NBC Sports’ coverage of the 2024 French Open begins Sunday. Ahead of the event, the network has announced its broadcast team, which includes play-by-play announcer Noah Eagle, who continues his meteoric rise up the sports media ranks.
Noah, son of Ian Eagle, has watched his spotlight shine significantly brighter over the past year. And the opportunities for him have only gotten more plentiful. Eagle was recently named the play-by-play voice for USA men’s and women’s basketball at the upcoming Paris Olympics.
This latest opportunity adds to his growing broadcaster resume, which includes Big Ten college football, NBA games, an NFL playoff game, and the Nickelodeon broadcast of the Super Bowl in just the past year alone.
Eagle will be making his Roland-Garros debut for NBC as a play-by-play voice alongside Mary Carillo and John McEnroe, who teamed to win the mixed doubles title at the 1977 French Open.
Eagle has called matches at the French Open before, previously doing so in 2020 for The Tennis Channel.
It’s obvious that NBC Sports sees a lot in Eagle as the future of their sports broadcasting team. He is already becoming a familiar and trusted voice for fans of various sports across NBC and Peacock.
